AndroMed TRADE, Inc.
was established on the 20th of April 2001. It is a Company engaged in the marketing and trade of healthcare products and systems. The principal owners of the Company have long experience in serving the needs of hospitals and medical clinics for diagnostic imaging consumables and diagnostic equipment.
The initial project of AndroMed TRADE, Inc. was the sale and installation of the country’s first computed radiography system in one of the leading medical centers in the country. After this initial project, the Company won an appointment as a dealer for Kodak Health Imaging Products in the Metro Manila area where it handled some of the key accounts for Kodak Diagnostic Imaging Products.
The Company has also been the channel partner for Fuji Xerox office solutions to the healthcare market segment, adapting its hi-tech multi-function digital systems for medical applications.
Going beyond diagnostic imaging, the Company has moved into introducing to the local market breakthrough, high technology, & specialized medical products not available through other companies.
Together with the continuing growth of the Company, Radionics (as then a division of Tyco Health Care before its changeover to Integra) gave AndroMed TRADE, Inc. the exclusive distributorship for their RFA equipment and products (including the Cool-tip™RF System) now under Valleylab, another division of Tyco Health Care (now known as Covidien). At that time, a non-exclusive dealership agreement was given as well for other products of Radionics, such as the X-Knife and CRW Systems. The Company’s most recent notable project has been the sale and installation of an X-Knife and CRW Systems at in another leading medical center affiliated with a university known to produce among the best medical professionals in the country. At least four other X-Knife and CRW projects have been initiated with leading medical centers, both within and outside of Metro Manila.
In 2006, AndroMed TRADE, Inc. linked up with Transmedic, a regional distributor of medical products based in Singapore, to make new, technologically advanced medical products available to the Philippine Market. Its most recently introduced products are the DC Bead™ Drug Delivery Embolisation System for Precision TACE (of Biocompatibles), the FMS 2000 Rapid Infusion System (of the Belmont Instrument Corporation), and the da Vinci (Robotic) Surgical System (of Intuitive Surgical, Inc.). Introduction of more such technologically advanced products, such as the Merci® Retriever Mechanical Revascularization Systems (of Concentric Medical), FibroScan® Hepatic Fibrosis Quantification Device (of Echosens), and the Radio Frequency Pain Management System (of the Baylis Medical Company) are also in the pipeline.
The latest product line acquired by AndroMed TRADE, Inc. this 2009 is the Oncura Stranded Brachytherapy Seeds, also through Transmedic of Singapore.
AndroMed TRADE, Inc. currently serves the needs of about twenty of the country’s top hospitals, medical clinics, and offices for radiofrequency ablation products, medical x-ray films & chemicals, and other imaging requirements.
All in all, the Company has stood for the introduction of new technology for use in the medical market to improve patient care & services, and/or to optimize cost efficiencies.
